Did you know that since 1879, when the Golden Fire Department was established, Golden has relied on volunteers to help protect the city from fire?
Tom Young, local hero and 39-year-veteran of the Golden Fire Department, found a way to honor the years of service that volunteers have delivered to the City of Golden.
