The zoning code affects everything from backyard chickens to what housing developments get approved and what they look like. Our zoning code is old… really old! It was developed over 50 years ago and although it’s been built upon and adjusted over the years, the foundation of the code was based on an era long gone and those development preferences don’t represent the Golden community of today.
